practice areas

Fucile & Reising LLP offers regional and national expertise representing clients in the following practice areas:

legal ethics

Mark counsels lawyers, law firms and corporate and governmental legal departments throughout the Northwest on professional ethics, risk management and the attorney-client privilege.  Mark also teaches legal ethics as an adjunct for the University of Oregon School of Law at its Portland campus.  Mark has served as an expert witness on legal ethics and related issues in both state and federal courts in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.  Mark's ethics work has included trying disciplinary cases at the hearing level, briefing and arguing lawyer regulatory cases before the Oregon Supreme Court and handling disqualification motions in state and federal court. He also has experience with both judicial disqualification and regulatory matters.

products liability defense

Dan Reising and Mark defend both Northwest and national manufacturers in products liability cases involving automobiles, asbestos, heavy equipment, building materials and consumer products. Our team has significant experience in handling medically complex cases and multiple-case litigation.

professional liability defense

Dan defends design professionals. He has years of construction litigation experience, representing owners, contractors and design professionals. That background allows Dan to knowledgeably and creatively defend design professionals in construction defects and personal injury lawsuits. He has handled wrongful death, traumatic injury and multi-million dollar construction defects cases.

real estate condemnation

During his career, Mark has handled over 250 real estate condemnation cases in Oregon, including many jury and court trials over possession, the right to take and valuation.  Mark has both prosecuted and defended direct and inverse condemnation cases involving a wide variety of commercial, residential, industrial and specialty properties in Oregon state and federal court.  Mark has also handled the "court side" of land use cases for developers.
